On our way to Maine

After spending the last week in the company of three other boats from the Windjammers Sailing Club we are now on our way to Maine. The trip offshore from Barnegat to Block Island was uneventful for all boats. It was the first time for two of the boats.
Biking around Block Island to the Lighthouse and the bluffs is always lots of fun as well as doing some tee shirt shopping in town with friends. Newport with the all the activity of the mega yachts in the harbor and the Cliff Walk by the mansions was another high point of our time with the group. Of course there was some more tee shirt shopping in Newport.
Leaving the busy harbor of Newport behind we spent a quiet day enjoying the serenity of Hadley Harbor near Woods Hole MA dinghy exploring and catching up on some varnishing.
This morning we left Hadley Harbor early to catch the current in the Cape Cod Canal and plan a morning arrival tomorrow in Portland ME.
