Leaving Charleston

Well, Ron’s last day working was a week ago Thursday the 5th after 28 years. Dawn and Juan came down to Charlseton with us last weekend and spent a few days exploring the area. We toured historic downtown, went to the beach and had a wonderful sail around the harbor then out the inlet for an afternoon in the ocean. We got some more work done on the boat before departing the Ripley Light Yacht Club this morning at 9:30 under clear skies and 40°. With the engine heater and the enclosure it was a balmy 70. We have been busy with wildlife sightings, a racoon and  turtles while on walks around the area and otters at the marina and dolphins underway. We plan on taking our time as we wander southward down the ICW toward Georgia

  1. Isn’t retirement great! We are traveling in FL and taking a Starclippers cruise in the Windwards over the next 6 weeks. Be sure to let us know when you are approaching VA on the way North. Do we have your cell? Ours is 757-785-0955.
